About
As a board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, I am dedicated to the mental health and wellness of children and adolescents. I was born in Michigan, but my family relocated to the Bay Area a month later. I grew up in Los Gatos, graduated from Los Gatos High School, and completed my undergraduate studies at The University of Chicago. I attended medical school at Rush University and completed residency and fellowship training in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at The University of Arizona. I returned to the Bay Area — a place I have always considered home — in 2015, and have been practicing in the South Bay for the past ten years.
I have worked with children and adolescents in a wide variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, a partial-day hospitalization program, emergency crisis management, and a rehabilitation facility for adolescents with substance use disorders. I have extensive clinical experience and expertise in the medical management of children with Autism, Asperger’s, developmental delay, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, aggression, depression, and anxiety. I am double board-certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry & Neurology.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have traveled to Europe, Asia, and most of Central America, and I value the perspectives I have gained from learning about other people and cultures. I appreciate the Bay Area’s ethnic and cultural diversity, entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and unique communities.
